The older baby boy who lives here put on his pageant on Tuesday. They do a good job up there.

Then the young man went for ice cream with the nanninator and the popinator.

My biggest angel turned 6 at the beginning of the month. As many family members know, December is a tough month to have a birthday. It gets shuffled along into Christmas, but i think the dinosaur theme helped us differentiate.

This was a tough birthday. I cried when she blew out the candles……but that’s nothing new. I had been crying for awhile already. Every time i would walk through the stores and see the Princess Christmas merchandise, I would grow teary. H. is “not that into the princesses anymore,” she told me. While i never was a champion for them, I was sad that this phase had passed.

My mom thought it was because 6 is definitely not a baby anymore, and i guess that’s true, but I don’t think this was my first thought. I’m not sure what exactly it is that makes me cry, but just as easily as she can make me smile, she can make me cry too.

I guess that’s the case with all of them.

B/c i don’t blog often, i am not up on the changes that wordpress has made. That’s why i can’t get my videos up either……but i’m working on it…..

w. is saying a few words. like his siblings, he won’t do it on command. but his first word was JACK!. others include mama, holly, bye bye, nite nite.
he runs around all day and is transitioning to one nap a day.
this is difficult b/c he is really tired either before the nap or before he goes to bed at nite.
when he’s really tired, he just runs around and bumps into things.
poor little guy.
i’m going to post a few videos here.
i particularly enjoy the one of h and w in the house. this is the best video i can get of this; it’s w. READING. he does this often: he picks up a pick and makes that singsong sound you’ll hear.

j. had his thanxgiving play and feast in school today. very different child than his sister. when h. has these productions, you can often decipher her particular voice. j. is just trying not to get run over by the kids running around up there on the risers. i’m not sure what was going on up there today, but it was a little more wild than usual for these mini-productions.
